Home Office Computing
Home Office Computing – the joy and the challenges!
I have many years of working with the challenges of home office computing including my own. From my own personal SOHO (small office home office) I cover the full spectrum of IT issues from a simple PC failure (yes it can be simple) or loss of connectivity to full system installations and everything in between.
Whatever the problem, from a screen failure to a system crash just give me a call and I will assess the situation and get you back up and running as soon as I can. And due to the beauty of our connected world – I can often help wherever you are in the world!
SOHO – the challenges
I maintain a very straightforward approach to IT problem solving. If something has outlived its worthwhile life, I won’t recommend you throw good money away on a repair and if your system is overloaded I will let you know. And rather than blind you with techno-babble, I’ll just tell you in plain English whether it can be repaired, or whether it needs dumping and needs a replacing. And remember to check out my blog https://www.daubeneys.com/eu-legislation-and-old-it-equipment/ if you do need to send your old Home Computing equipment to that IT place in the clouds!
The benefits of Home Office Computing for Small Business
Nowadays a very large proportion of the skilled workforce spends much of its time working from a home based office. This is usually an arrangement which suits the employer (not as much office space required etc) and the employee (more flexible etc). It also contributes towards the Government’s green targets as it reduces the carbon emissions normally associated with commuting.
The key to successful homeworking is reliable communications with colleagues, systems and the outside world in general. I can offer individuals and their employers a complete service to ensure that they remain fully functional and connected when working remotely. I will assess all local communications needs and ensure that set-up is carried out correctly. I can also liaise with the Company’s IT department to ensure that links and security are properly configured with central servers. I will also provide ad hoc support for outbased staff should subsequent problems arise (either via remote intervention or by visit).
At a time when outbasing is growing rapidly, Daubeneys IT and Computing Services can substantially reduce the pressure on corporate IT managers by looking after the needs of their home based staff. If your business would like to discuss the possibilities, please contact me as I would be delighted to have a chat – free of charge – to see how I can help you with your home office challenges and ensure it’s a joy to work from home!
